EMI Shielding for Robotic Electronics

Custom conductive fabric tapes and conductive foam gaskets for grounding, seam shielding and compressible electrical contact in compact robotic and UAV assemblies.

Grade-specific performance is supplied with the recommended material. Final assembly validation remains application-specific.

The engineering risk

Why the material alone is not the answer

Motors, power switching, radios, cameras and dense digital electronics share very limited space. Shielding performance depends on contact path, compression, grounding, enclosure design and frequency—not just the material label.

Common install positions

  • Controller enclosure seam
  • PCB grounding point
  • Display or camera module
  • Radio and communication module
  • LiDAR and sensor housing
How the construction works

Match each function to the assembly.

01

Conductive contact

Fabric-over-foam creates a compliant path between mating surfaces.

02

Seam coverage

Die-cut conductive fabric tape follows complex enclosure and cable geometry.

03

Grounding integration

Adhesive and release-liner formats support controlled placement.

04

Multi-function stack

Shielding may be combined with cushioning, insulation or environmental sealing.

Selection data

What we need to review your design

Send the information available now. Missing values can be identified during drawing review rather than guessed.

  • Noise source and sensitive circuit
  • Frequency range
  • Grounding path
  • Available compression
  • Surface material
  • Environmental and adhesive requirements
Engineering questions

Before you specify the part

Can shielding values be specified before the assembly is tested?

Material data can guide selection, but enclosure joints, grounding and compression have major influence. Final shielding should be validated in the actual assembly.

Can the gasket combine EMI contact and cushioning?

Yes. Fabric-over-foam constructions are used where controlled compression and conductive contact are needed together.
